Inside the cottage

'The Retreat' is a stunning, contemporary, detached barn set in an idyllic location along a quiet, leafy lane in the heart of Cley-next-the-sea.

The property is luxuriously appointed and benefits from under floor heating and a wood burning stove. There is a beautifully designed bespoke kitchen by Neptune. The downstairs of the property is open plan and big glass doors open onto a delightful, private sunny courtyard garden. There is also a downstairs laundry room with loo. Upstairs, the rooms are again light and bright with a king size main bedroom and a twin bedroom with glass Juliette balcony overlooking the grounds of Cley Hall. The shower room has a separate shower cubicle with large chrome rainfall style shower.

Parking is readily available outside the property. All amenities are on your doorstep and the renowned delicatessen, smokehouse, shops, pubs and coastal path are just two minutes walk away.

Surrounding area

Cley-next-the-sea is one of the most sought after and prettiest villages along the breath taking North Norfolk Coast. It is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is very popular with walking enthusiasts and bird watchers. The village is set next to the Coastal Path and has good shops and facilities including a smoke house, renowned delicatessen, two public houses, restaurant, book shop and art galleries. There is the NWT Cley Marshes Nature Reserve which is internationally acclaimed and excellent sailing from Blakeney & Morston. There are regular boat trips to Blakeney Point from Blakeney and Morston to see the seals.
