"This place is incredible....So relaxing...So Stylish. I have rented many cottages but not stayed in one as good as this"
1 kingsize, 1 double + occasional twin.
An amazing period village house with lovely walled garden. An elegantly proportioned Queen Anne village house hidden behind an understated front elevation in the heart of Blakeneys historic core. The house is entered through a narrow flint front to a lobby and entrance hall which then opens out into a fine high ceiling drawing room with bedroom accommodation on the two floors above. The house contains lovely period fireplaces, panelled doors and pamment tile floors and the pretty walled garden is a rarity in this location. The views from the attic bedroom are also quite outstanding.
The Hidden House has been completely refurbished. The designer interiors are simply stunning and the quality of the soft furnishings and contents top class - definitely a house to be treasured by grown ups and for that reason, we are unable to accommodate young children or dogs. The drawing room is superb with a huge open fire and beautiful views through a big sash window to the very secluded and pretty walled garden. The kitchen is newly painted and equipped and although not the largest of layouts it has everything you could possibly need including a new electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. On the first floor, the master bedroom is sumptuous with very high quality furnishings and Egyptian cotton bed linen with velvet bedspreads, super soft pillows and snuggly duvets. Towels are huge and soft and luxury toiletries are complimentary. There is a double bedroom, again, beautifully furnished but smaller than the master and a fresh, bright bathroom overlooking the garden. The bath has a shower over.
On the top floor, there is an enchanting attic room with stunning sea views with two single beds. Please also note that the first few steps of the main staircase are steep - they are carpeted and there is a good strong ships rope bannister but this may be tricky for older guests if they are a little unsteady on their feet - we are happy to advise and discuss this matter.
We are also thrilled to be able to offer the use of one private parking space just 50ft from the house which will be available all year round. There will be a charge of £10 per week for the use of this and this can be arranged when making your holiday reservation. The house also has wifi and a telephone is available for guest use run on an honesty basis (mobile signal can be hit & miss!)
The standard of this house is truly deluxe and we are very excited to bring it to the market for guests to enjoy. We can offer short breaks as long as they are a minimum of three nights. We aim to spoil our guests and there will be fresh flowers, cakes and good wine to welcome you on arrival. This house will be very popular so do book with haste - perfect for anniversaries, birthdays or a romantic break for two. Friday changeover for weekly bookings. Smoking not permitted in the house.
Enchanting suntrap walled garden with garden furniture and patio and good size lawn. Private parking space just 50ft from property by arrangement at a charge of £10 per week - invaluable in Blakeney!!
Blakeney is one of the most sought after coastal villages in North Norfolk. The whole coastal area, much of it owned by the National Trust, is designed as an area of outstanding natural beauty, attracting both sailing enthusiasts and ornithologists. The village retains a unique atmosphere with many of the old mariners and merchants houses remaining in its narrow streets with others tucked away in flower filled lokes The main street runs down to the Quay with its salt marsh and channels, with Blakeney Point beyond. There is a wide selection of shops, pubs and hotels and a great village store and deli. The Georgian market town of Holt is just 5 miles away.
